To choose a justright nonfiction book my way is to First I will look at the frout cover of the book and get my mind thinking of the book. Then I look thought the book.I look thought the picture that was in the book and to get more idea about the book to get ready. And the most important think is that I am intiseing in the book I haves choose.
But Kate how about the table of contents we could also look at it.
Kate how about the glossary and the table of contents that it can give you more ideas.
Maybe I think your idea is a great idea but I think you must read the book first before you choose that book.Try to make your spelling right but its a great idea that you choose to see the cover of the book.
I will look for a nonfiction book I'm interested in. And then I will look at the front cover of that book and I will try to read the book by using the 5 finger rules if I read fluently I would think it's a just right book. If I read slowly I think it will be too hard for me to read that level.
how about the glossary and index that can help us understand the book better.
But JJ Mr.Joe said that a non-fiction doesn't have the same way of choosing a 'just right' non-fiction book.
I agree to Phuwin because non fiction book don't have the same way to chose fiction book!
If we choose a just right non fiction book, we look at the genre or the title and picture, is it easy just right or hard and get the subtitles and read few of the words is it easy JR or hard.
I think you should write or "type" a little more.
I think you are okay with it but you must type more ideas
In order to choose a 'just right' non-fiction book first you have to find a book at your interest and you don't need to care about the DRA your on. If your a DRA 40 the book with a lot of text might be a DRA 30! Second you will look at the table of contents to see further stuff of your interest.Third you might read the blurb of the book. Finally you will read a few pages to see do you understand the information in the book and do you understand the words in the text.
To choose a just right nonfiction book is that you have to see if you're interested in the topic that it's based on. The table of contents might help. It doesn't matter about our reading level, we just have to understand it, if you have a feeling that it is a bit confusing, then that's maybe a little too hard, also, if you have a feeling that you can't remember the informations, it's hard. If it is too easy, you could clearly know if it is easy because you might actually know all the informations it gave you. So, a just right nonfiction book is just that the topic interests you, you could remember the info you got, and that you understand it pretty well.
First look at the topic of the book if it is interesting for you then look at tables and contents if there is some idea that you really want to know.
Second try to read one text and see if it is hard to read smoothly, hard to understand, can,t read with expression.
Third if you can remember and teach other what you learn it mean that you learn something. Then tell other what book did you learn from.
I think to choose a just right non-fiction book is to look in the book first and see if you already know the detail if you already know you shouldn't pick it if you don't know the details and your intrested in it I think it is a just right book. Second I think we should look at the back blurb to see if you already knew it or not and look inside the book a little to get a idea of the story.
Raksit, non-fiction books doesn't always have blurbs and it is not a story, you should see the difference of non-fiction and fiction. This is not saying that you're wrong, just telling you.
It is intresting and sometime you could choose the right level even lower level becauese choosing nonfiction is not flewensea but learning to get new fact. When choosing a nonfiction book you could even choose lower level to understand the text your readind and you could tell what is the book about and you could understand the text and fact
and a book that has lot's of the table of content. Some could even be a picture too if not understand. The book is not too hard for you to read. The nonfiction book doesn't have too difficult word
To choose a just right realistic fiction book first I look at the tittle and see if I am interested in that topic or I want to know more about that topic. Then I look at the table of contents which might give me more ideas about what the the book is all about. After that I look at the blurb of the book (if it is there) and read through it to get lots more information about the story. Then I read a little part to see if I can read smoothly, clearly, understand the story and can remember most to all of the information in the text.If I can't read clearly and very slowly plus I can't understand the text very well,it is better that I don't borrow the book. But again if the book is lower or higher than your reading level and you can still understand and read the text and wad clearly then it is a just right book for you.Oh! And don't forget the glossary and index that will help us understand the book better.
diya your thingamajig is awesome and I congrat you for being the writer of the longest paragraph on Earth. I know that you have bee up all night trying to write this great thingamajig.
To choose a nonfiction book you need to open the book and look at the information inside if it look interesting to you and have the information you need, borrow it. It would be the best book for you to help you do a research. If you dont know the information of the book and you want to learn more about the subject. If you are working at school about plants and you want to know more about the plants borrow a plants nonfiction book.
I like the idea that you gonna borrow the interesting information that you like to.
To choose a just right non-fiction book. First we need to get the ideas about the book and also look at the book cover is it the title that you are interesting in or not. If your are choosing a non-fiction book you don't need to care about the level. You could just choose easy level than you are even harder. Second we need to look inside to book to get the idea that is the book have the information that you want or need. Remember the title that you see it the same thing that you want it doesn't mean that the book have the information that you want. It could be different. Also you could look at the contents and the subtitle to see the information if it the right thing you want.
When you are going to choose just right non-fiction books, you have to be interested with that level even how high your level are but you need to care what your interest is about. The second thing you have to remember is that if you choose a book, you have to look at the contents because if you are looking for books about silk than you have to look at your content to check that what you are finding is correct so you can read about your interest.
I think that a non fiction book are all the same because they all give information and help us to know more about what we are interesting
in.If you are interesting in that title and chapter you can just skip other chapters because they are not related to each other.
